If you need additional information not related to pricing, please fill out a request form and a Morae Specialist will contact you. Licensing InformationFor each individual component, the specific licensing terms are as follows: Manager Licensing TermsMorae Manager is licensed per machine. This means that it can be installed on one computer and is licensed specifically for that computer. After installation, a quick and simple activation process unlocks the license for that computer. This activation can be completed via an Internet connection or by phone. A 15-day grace period is provided before activation is required. Recorder Licensing TermsMorae Recorder can be installed and uninstalled on multiple computers as long as it is only installed on one computer at a time. This gives you the flexibility to conduct testing on different systems in different locations. If you need to conduct simultaneous testing, additional Recorder licenses can be purchased. Observer Licensing TermsMorae Observer licensing terms are the same as Morae Recorder. It may be installed and uninstalled on multiple computers as long as it is only installed on one computer at a time. This enables you to use it in tandem with the Morae Recorder. Why is the licensing different for each component?The options are designed to provide complete flexibility. Usability testing is often conducted on a variety of computer systems at different locations. Since Recorder and Observer are licensed per user, the components are completely portable. As a result, you can take them onsite to record usability tests. For instance, Recorder can be installed on one computer to record the onscreen action. Observer can be installed on a separate computer - connected to the recording source computer - for observation or logging. When the testing is complete, the components can be uninstalled, and the process repeated.
