TechSmith's Growth Prompts Move to Larger Facilities.

Located in Okemos, Michigan, new facility doubles the size of the company's offices.

Okemos, Michigan - October 21, 2002 - TechSmith Corp., the leading provider of screen capture software technology for more than a decade, today announces its move to expanded offices located at 2405 Woodlake Drive, Okemos, MI. The company has signed a five-year lease with Michigan Equities, the owner of the building.

Since its founding in 1987, TechSmith has had offices in various East Lansing, Michigan locations, most recently leasing 9,600 square feet in offices on East Grand River Avenue. The company has enjoyed excellent growth, especially during the past two years. During the 2000 fiscal year, Tech Smith experienced a 50% growth over 1999 revenues. Most recently, the company achieved approximately 65% growth in 2001 over 2000 and is seeing vigorous growth in 2002. This increased business activity has been accompanied by a 300% growth in staff since 1999. To accommodate this growth as well as plans for future expansion, the firm's new Okemos facilities are more than double its previous office space and encompass 21,204 square feet.

These TechSmith facilities were remodeled to meet specific needs of the company. The facilities contain both enclosed and open office spaces, conference rooms, kitchen and eating areas and a fully-equipped exercise/workout room with shower facilities. The comfort and convenience of these offices are in line with a traditional TechSmith value -- creating a comfortable, friendly, and employee-oriented work environment that nurtures innovation and excellence.

He added, "It was also of key importance for us to get all our employees in the same building, which was not possible at our previous location where the staff was split between two non-adjacent buildings. In our Okemos offices, we now have engineering, development, shipping, administration, marketing, and sales all co-residing in one building, and that will greatly increase our staff efficiencies."
