I have had many of you write in and tell me about how you are using Camtasia Studio to record your class sessions and make them available to students online.
Now TechSmith has another option that can record one class or can be used department or even campus-wide. We worked with teachers and professors who are using Camtasia Studio and found out what features they need, and what they really don't use. Out of that came Camtasia Relay.
Camtasia Relay is the configure-once, use-often solution that you don't have to be a technology expert to use.
Just install the recorder on your computer, Mac or PC. During class, you just click to start recording, click to stop recording... now, here is the really cool part that makes Camtasia Relay really different from Camtasia Studio... after you finish recording, you click to submit the file to your server running Camtasia Relay.
Once at the server, your recording will be automatically produced, making it ready for the web and other media devices. Your students will have the ability to access your content on an iPod, a website, from a link on Blackboard, and you can even use XML to make your information available via RSS feed.
You get the idea. Your knowledge...anytime, anywhere.
